The fellows are at the core of the Marsilius Kolleg's activities. Advanced researchers from Heidelberg University and regional non-university research institutions can apply for a one-year fellowship at the Marsilius Kolleg.
A fellowship at the Marsilius Kolleg enables them to dedicate themselves to an interdisciplinary research project and to take part in the discussions at the Kolleg. With the fellowships, the Marsilius Kolleg aims to strengthen research-related networking between the academic cultures within the full university of Heidelberg and within the Rhine-Neckar research region. The university hopes that this will lead directly and indirectly to new research and transfer activities that link different academic cultures.

Current Fellow Class
13 Heidelberg Avademics devote themselves to to interdisciplinary research projects
The start of the 2023/2024 winter semester has seen a new class of fellows take up their assignment at Heidelberg University’s Marsilius Kolleg. From October this year to September 2024, 13 Heidelberg academics from different disciplines devote themselves to interdisciplinary research projects and participate in joint discussions at the Kolleg. During their regular work meetings, the fellows will deal with, for instance, practical aspects of historical Heidelberg hearing research, with resilience in the face of catastrophes, particularly with regard to children and adolescents, or with the analysis of systematic sources of error when planning and evaluating scientific experiments.
