Prof. Dr. Nora Heinzelmann
Nora Heinzelmann is Full Professor of Philosophy at the Institute for Molecular Systems Engineering and Advanced Materials (IMSEAM) and the Department of Philosophy at Heidelberg University. Before joining Heidelberg University in 2024, Nora Heinzelmann was a postdoctoral fellow in philosophy at the Universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Munich (LMU). She received her Ph.D. in Philosophy from Cambridge, specializing in interdisciplinary moral psychology, action theory, and philosophy of cognitive science. In 2024, Nora was invited to be a visiting scholar at the Department of Philosophy at New York University (NYU). Oxford University Press recently published her monograph "Weakness of Will and Delay Discounting".
Prof. Dr. Christine Selhuber-Unkel
Christine Selhuber-Unkel is Full Professor at the Institute for Molecular Systems Engineering and Advanced Materials (IMSEAM) of Heidelberg University. Before joining Heidelberg University in 2021, she was a postdoctoral researcher and professor (W1 and W2) at the University of Kiel. Christine Selhuber-Unkel has received numerous awards and grants, including an ERC Starting Grant (2013), an ERC Consolidator Grant (2020) and the Otto Hahn Medal of the Max Planck Society.
Prof. Dr. Joachim Spatz
Joachim Spatz is Director of the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg and Full Professor of Biophysical Chemistry at Heidelberg University. He also serves as speaker of the Max Planck School "Matter to Life". Joachim Spatz has received numerous awards and grants, including the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz Prize (2017) and an ERC Advanced Grant (2012, together with B. Geiger, Weizmann Institute). He is an elected member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, and the Heidelberg Academy of Science and Humanities.
