Präzisionstests d. Standardmodells d. Elementarteilchenphysik in Zerfällen von schweren Quarks, insbes. Untersuchung der Teilchen-Antiteilchensymmetrie in Zerfällen von B- u. D-Mesonen. Abweichungen von der vom Standardmodell vorhergesagten Symmetrieverletzung wären erste Anzeichen neuer Teilchen u. neuer Effekte; Nachweis und Rekonstruktion der Signaturen geladener Teilchen: Sowohl der Bau der notwendigen Detektor-Hardware als auch die Entwicklung effizient Algorithmen zur Mustererkennung
