Curriculum Vitae Prof. Dr. Johannes Glückler

Johannes Glückler holds the chair of economic and social geography at the University of Heidelberg.
 

He studied geography, psychology and sociology at the Universities of Würzburg and Salamanca, and he received his PhD at the University of Frankfurt in 2004.
 

Before joining the University of Heidelberg he was professor of economic geography at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (2006 through 2008).
 

Johannes Glückler was Visiting Scholar at the Universities of Salamanca, Spain, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the University College London.
 

His research interests are in the areas of economic geography, social networks and the service industries.
 

Johannes Glückler has published widely on theories of rm internationalisation, urban clustering, the evolution of social networks, and the geography of knowledge.
 

He is author of three monographs and more than 50 academic papers including journals such as Organization Studies and the Journal of Economic Geography.
